About Ari

Ari Ponce-Ruiz was born in the beautiful city of Santa Barbara, California, and raised in the small beach town of Carpinteria, where she was raised by her mom, aunt, and uncle.

She attended schools in Santa Barbara, where she played soccer, basketball, and volleyball. Unfortunately, this was cut short after a knee injury. Ari now fully appreciates the necessity of knee pads.

While she once planned to pursue psychology, everything shifted after attending one last hometown concert. Just weeks before she was supposed to move, she pulled her acceptance from San Francisco State University and rerouted her entire future. Music had always meant something to her; in fact, she had always possessed an unshakable passion for all things entertainment. But in that moment, she realized it could also be a career.

Ari eventually earned her B.A. in Entertainment and Tourism Communication from California State University, Fullerton. Along the way, she explored every corner of the entertainment world she could: supporting the marketing efforts of an inclusive esports league, interning in talent management and casting, coordinating digital content, designing sound, and eventually working in social media for the largest music company in the world.

She found her groove in storytelling, especially through content and social platforms. Ari has spent the last few years immersed in the ever-evolving world of social media: developing strategies, creating engaging content, and managing platforms for music labels, esports leagues, and entertainment brands. From capturing behind-the-scenes moments to running live social coverage at events, she's learned how to craft stories that resonate. To her, social media isn’t just a tool, but the cultural heartbeat of our generation. It's how people feel seen, laugh out loud, and connect with something bigger than themselves. She sees content as a chance to spark emotion, build community, and leave a lasting impression, all within just a few seconds.

Ari has also founded her own independent concert production brand, ENSMBL, where she produces and promotes live music showcases. Her flagship event was The Giving Gig, a fundraising concert raising $800 in support of Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. The next show, FEEDBACK, will be held in Los Angeles on Saturday, May 16. A percentage of proceeds will be donate to Harmony Project. You can check it out at @ensmblpresents on Instagram! (…and she hopes to see you there!)
